Owen Gallagher is an Assistant Lecturer of Design and Creative Digital Media at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology. He has been designing websites since the first dot.com bubble and has worked in a variety of design related roles for small to medium enterprises, as well as lecturing at LYIT and the University of Ulster and building up a stable freelance design business over the past decade. Owen holds a Masters Degree in Design and Communication from the University of Ulster, a Bachelors Degree in Design and Digital Media from LYIT and is currently undertaking a PhD at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Visual Culture, focusing on intellectual property issues related to the distribution of digital content on the internet. |
